Hello there, I have a 1996 E36 M3 for sale that is in fantastic condition! The car has only had a few owners, one of which was a former Stanford student and her father who is an auto enthusiast. I'm putting her up for sale because I plan on moving soon and won't have the garage space for the car and I don't want to leave it on the street or exposed to the weather. I have not been using this as my daily driver. It's been my weekend nice-weather fun car and when not in use, it sits in a fully covered garage (4 walls and a roof). It's mostly stock except for the 1900 ground control suspension system and a lightweight M5 clutch and flywheel that was installed by the previous owner. I guess he intended for the car to be his track car but never got around to actually doing it. When I bought it, he had a SPAL high performance electric fan kit that IS NOT installed that he gave me. I still haven't installed it (and never intended to) so I can include it with the purchase of the car. After I bought it and had it inspected, I put 1500 into it to fix the following at Strictly BMW in Bellevue: Replaced drive belts and pulleys Replaced valve cover gasket and 6 spark plug boots Replaced pedal travel sensor for ABS (to fix ABS warning light being displayed on dash). The previous owner has replaced/repaired: At 104, 758 miles, replaced clutch/flywheel with M5 one, Install short shifter kit, changed transmission/engine/differential lubrication, replaced air boot. On 11/02/2010, the timing chain, guides, and tensioners were all replaced. Also, the VANOS unit was rebuilt. New tires as of 92, 000 miles. New front brake pads and rotors at 95, 000 miles. Coolant expansion tank replaced at 100, 231. and the service records that show all this are included too. Like I mentioned earlier, this car has not been destroyed by a dumb 17 year old living out fast and the furious fantasies. Because the E36's have pretty much bottomed out in price, it's really hard to find one that isn't all messed up with stupid sound systems and ugly rims. It's been owned by adults with the exception of the Stanford student who just used it as her daily commuter. It's condition reflects the extra care it's been given.
